Rack PDU · IEC C20 male input

Add remote control to a C19 PDU outlet with a C20-to-C13 cable.

Smart Kablo C20 to C13 connects its C20 male input to an IEC C19 female rack PDU outlet. Its C13 female output supplies compatible equipment with an IEC C14 inlet while adding per-device measurements and authorised relay control.

Smart Kablo with IEC C20 male input for a C19 rack PDU outlet and IEC C13 female output

A C20 connector does not raise the Smart Kablo current limit. The connected equipment must remain at or below 5 A.

Connection review

Connector fit is not a current approval.

The C20 input is designed for a C19 female rack PDU outlet, but the Smart Kablo and connected equipment must still remain within the verified 5 A maximum.

Important: never infer allowable load from the PDU outlet alone. Check the equipment nameplate, connector condition, grounding and the complete power path before installation.
Selected-outlet upgrade

Add intelligence where a full PDU replacement is unnecessary.

Use an inline Smart Kablo for selected compatible servers, switches, NAS systems or other C14-inlet equipment when per-device data and controlled recovery are the actual requirement.

Measure the individual load

View voltage, current, frequency, power and energy at the selected equipment connection instead of relying only on a rack total.

Identify the target

Use device records and physical identification procedures to confirm the correct connection before any remote intervention.

Power-cycle deliberately

Only interrupt power after the equipment, application and storage shutdown requirements have been considered.

Integration scope

Documented REST endpoints; SNMP only after technical confirmation.

The published REST guide covers Basic Authentication, live telemetry, hourly and monthly energy data, and relay endpoints. It does not document a specific SNMP version, MIB/OID set, trap support or write capability.

Choose by source outlet

Compare the connection families.

C14 to C13

For a standard IEC C13 female outlet on a compatible PDU or UPS.

C20 to C13

For an IEC C19 female rack PDU outlet and compatible C14-inlet equipment.

Schuko to C13

For a grounded Schuko source outlet and compatible C14-inlet equipment.

Short answers

C20 to C13 compatibility FAQ.

Which rack PDU outlet is required?
The source must be an IEC C19 female outlet that accepts the Smart Kablo C20 male input. The equipment side remains an IEC C13 female output intended for a compatible IEC C14 inlet.
Does the C20 input allow more than 5 A?
No. The physical C20 connection does not change the 5 A maximum of Smart Kablo. Do not use this model when the connected equipment nameplate exceeds that value.
Can it reboot a dual-PSU server?
A redundant supply may remain powered through its other feed. Treat each power path as part of a coordinated design and do not assume that switching one cable will restart the server.
